This issue is dedicated to encephalitis and related neurological conditions, bringing together leading international perspectives from the early 1960s. The articles address diverse aspects of the topic, ranging from occlusive disease of the carotid arterial system and cerebral softening to the role of viral infections in the central nervous system. Special attention is given to encephalitic forms of poliomyelitis and to the current state of encephalitides in Western and Central Europe, offering valuable comparative insights.
In addition to the main articles, the issue includes editorials in Spanish and English, a commemorative note on John F. Fulton (1899–1900), as well as news and book reviews, rounding out a comprehensive view of neurological research and debates of the time.
