Abstract

The first issue of Volume 3 of the International Journal of Neurology (1962) was dedicated to headache. It opened with editorials in Spanish and English and included a tribute to Harold G. Wolff (1898–1962), a pioneer in headache research. The issue featured seminal articles on the pathophysiology of headache, systemic and vascular causes—including migraine—and headaches of cervical, otolaryngologic, and ocular origin. Additional contributions explored psychogenic factors, electroencephalographic findings in migraine, and therapeutic approaches to chronic headache. The volume concluded with a news section, reflecting ongoing advances in neurological research and clinical practice.
